Big congratulations to our members…

8:52 am : April 3, 2012 in Events, Members by admin

Over the last several weeks we have seen our members appear at many of the areas biggest rides and dominating.

Brevard Gran Fondo had a strong turnout of membership. Members rode with pros and local high caliber talent. The event was chipped timed and the results are located here.  Big K placed 12th in a strong field.. Way to go!!

Then most recently, was the Cross Florida Ride on the 1st of April brought to us by the Space Coast Freewheelers. In its 31st year and attracting well over 200 cyclists, the SCVS colors were loud and proud.. always keeping the pace and leading out the crowd with our members doing the work at the front. This year brought a nice steady headwind with gorgeous conditions. No precipitation and moderate cloud cover kept us all comfortable and performing our best. With only a couple of mechanical issues to shorten some of the members’ rides, the journey was without any huge incident.

Ruben crossed the line first! And was followed by the rest of the SCVS team securing the remainder of the top 10 in the unofficial ”Upright” category (yes there were some recumbents in there if you want to count them)

Some really big efforts took place and you should all be extremely proud for taking on the challenge and completing with such conviction and pose. Now we look forward to some more big rides to conquer.
